本作の主人公はシナリオコンクールで受賞したものの、いまだプロデビューを果たせずにいる脚本家志望の河合譲治。彼が寂れたバーでナオミと名乗る女性と出会ったことから物語が展開する。ある日、譲治はシナリオ講座の講師の代わりに、谷崎の「痴人の愛」を原作とする映画の脚本を引き受けることに。執筆に苦戦する譲治は、ナオミと再会し関係が深まるにつれて甘く、苦く、狂おしい時間を過ごしていくのだった。
